01 · Quotation
MOQ, price, and order setup
Clear specifications create accurate pricing and prevent changes later in production.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ depends on the product, size, material, and finishing. Many fully custom hardcover books, gift boxes, and photo albums start from 50 units. Booklets, cards, labels, and special components may require higher quantities. We confirm the exact MOQ after reviewing your specification.
Can I split the MOQ across different designs, sizes, or colours?
Usually no. MOQ normally applies to one size, design, material, and production specification. Each version may need to meet its own MOQ. Projects using the same material and structure can sometimes be combined; we assess this case by case.
What information do you need for a quotation?
Please send product type, finished size, page count and quantity, paper or board, printing colours, binding, finishing, packaging, delivery country and postal code, plus artwork or reference images where available.
Can you quote before my final artwork is ready?
Yes. We can provide an initial estimate using size, page count, materials, quantity, and reference images. Final pricing is confirmed after checking actual artwork, particularly for complex layouts, structures, foil, spot UV, embossing, or debossing.
Does unit price decrease at higher quantities?
Usually yes, because fixed setup costs such as prepress, press setup, plates, tooling, and finishing preparation are spread across more units. Freight, special materials, and hand-finishing may not decrease at the same rate.
02 · Artwork
Files, design, and prepress
We identify production risks early, before they become expensive revisions.
What artwork format should I provide?
A print-ready PDF at 300 DPI or above is preferred. Use CMYK unless a Pantone colour is specified, include about 3 mm bleed, and put foil, spot UV, embossing, or debossing on separate layers. Complex packaging should use our dieline.
Can you check or revise my print files?
We provide a free basic prepress check for size, page count, bleed, image resolution, and obvious file issues. Text proofreading, redesign, re-pagination, or major artwork changes may incur an additional charge.
Why can’t hardcover book spine width be confirmed far in advance?
Spine width depends on page count, paper grammage, actual paper thickness, folding method, and binding structure. We normally confirm paper first—or measure after interior printing—before finalising cover and spine artwork.
Can I approve the design before production?
Yes. Packaging can be reviewed with dielines, flat layouts, or mockups. Complex books can confirm cover, spine, endpapers, foil layers, and finishing details. Production starts only after written approval.
03 · Samples
Proof and production planning
Choose the sample level that answers your highest-risk production question.
Can I make a sample first?
Yes. Options include digital test sheets, white dummies, material and colour swatches, fully customised finished samples, and Golden Samples for bulk-order approval.
Can sample fees be credited against a bulk order?
It depends on the project. Some Golden Sample fees may be credited in full or in part once the bulk order is confirmed. Low-quantity, complex, or separately tooled samples are usually non-refundable. This is stated in the quotation.
How long do samples and mass production take?
Simple test samples usually take 1–3 days; custom book or box samples 3–7 days; standard books, photo albums, and packaging about 7–15 days; and complex collector’s projects about 15–25 days. Timing begins after final approval, material confirmation, and deposit.
What is the difference between digital and offset printing?
Digital printing suits lower quantities and faster setup. Offset printing is generally better for medium-to-large quantities, fine detail, colour consistency, and lower unit cost at scale. The best option depends on artwork, paper, and quantity.
04 · Quality
Materials, inspection, and responsibility
We align the relevant quality reference before full production starts.
How do you keep bulk production consistent with the approved sample?
Production follows the approved files, materials, and Golden Sample where applicable. We check dimensions, colour, paper, binding, spine, foil, debossing, lamination, and packaging. Video, random carton, or third-party pre-shipment inspection can be arranged when suitable.
Do you offer sustainable materials?
We can discuss FSC-certified paper options, recycled board, and soy-based or lower-impact inks where suitable. Certificates, declarations, and testing are confirmed by the scope of each project.
What happens if there is a quality problem or a delivery delay?
If a confirmed issue is caused by our production, we assess it and provide an appropriate solution such as reprinting, replacement units, a refund, or reasonable compensation. Customer-approved artwork issues and external shipping or customs delays are handled according to confirmed responsibility and trade terms.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. Send your NDA for review before sharing confidential artwork, product information, or launch details.
05 · Payment & shipping
Know what is included before you order.
Trade terms, delivery scope, and payment milestones are confirmed in the Proforma Invoice.
What does your quotation include?
We state product cost, sample cost, packaging, freight, and tax scope by trade term: EXW, FOB, CIF, or DDP. CIF means freight and insurance to the destination port; it does not mean tax-paid door-to-door delivery.
Why can shipping costs change?
Freight depends on final weight, volume, carton count, destination, transport method, fuel costs, and seasonal demand. Final logistics pricing is most accurate after production confirms actual packing data.
How long do air freight and sea freight take?
International courier or air freight is typically about 7–10 days. Sea freight is usually about 20–45 days. Transit time depends on destination, schedules, customs, peak seasons, and last-mile delivery, and excludes production time.
What payment terms do you offer?
Standard orders usually require 50% deposit before production and 50% balance before shipment after agreed completion evidence or inspection. Some large or premium projects use 30% after Golden Sample approval and 70% after pre-shipment inspection. Final terms appear in the PI.
Can I pay by credit card?
Payment is usually accepted by bank transfer or Wise. Credit card payment may not be available for every order because processing fees are high. Account, currency, and fee responsibility are stated in the PI.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Share your delivery country, city, and postal code so we can recommend an appropriate shipping option and quote the correct delivery scope.
